Baltimore Ravens DT Ryan McBean (ankle) said he is targeting minicamp next offseason to get on the field again after suffering a broken ankle in the first preseason game. McBean is using crutches to get around but is regaining movement and strength in the ankle.

Updating a previous item, Baltimore Ravens DE Ryan McBean (ankle) broke his left ankle in the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 9, a league source confirmed. It's a fracture dislocation and it will require surgery.

Baltimore Ravens DL Ryan McBean settled his lawsuit with the league and reportedly had his six-game suspension reduced to three games after he agreed to drop the lawsuit. "We are giving Ryan the opportunity to compete and make our 53-player roster," general manager Ozzie Newsome said. "We've done our research and consulted with the league office about Ryan and then signed him."
