Buffalo Bills tight ends coach Pete Metzelaars, a former TE for the team, said he feels TE Scott Chandler can emerge as an every-down player. "I met with him face-to-face a couple of days ago when he was here speaking with our trainers," Metzelaars said. "I really look forward to seeing where he can go in this offense. A lot of people do not give him credit for his blocking, but I think he does that very well and can still get better at it. I think he has huge upside. I look forward to developing that and helping him become an every down player we would like for him to be."

Buffalo Bills TE Scott Chandler, who just received a two-year contract extension, is happy to remain with the Bills and have some security. "This is definitely where I wanted to be. I think it's the best place for me and I think it's a great fit for the Bills, too. I think I bring some things to the table. At the same time this is definitely the ideal place and offense for me with the teammates and coaching staff," Chandler said. He had 38 receptions for 389 yards and six touchdowns last season for the Bills, all career highs. His 38 receptions were the most by a Buffalo tight end since Jay Riemersma had 53 in 2001.
