According to the National Football Post, the team also worked out WRs Anthony Armstrong (Dolphins) and Will Franklin (Raiders). Gasper notes the Patriots also had free-agent DT Terdell Sands (Raiders) in town for a workout.

The Associated Press reports Seattle Seahawks WR Courtney Taylor, who is working as the starting flanker with WR Bobby Engram (shoulder) out, is using criticism of the Seahawks being young at receiver as motivation. "I understand that. But that motivates me, gives me more will power," Taylor said. "Courtney's a pretty explosive guy," head coach Mike Holmgren said. "He's got great skill. He's fast. I mean, his athletic ability is special."

Taylor said he will participate in more drills in the afternoon practice Sunday. He wants to return at full speed Monday, Aug. 4. Taylor is ready to come back but the team is being cautious with him.
