Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Seahawks) said the fact that the New York Jets are using CB Antonio Cromartie at wide receiver shows that they're desperate, and they need an experienced receiver like him. "I've read a lot of tweets and everybody's saying that I'm desperate, I'm begging for a job," Owens said. "But it's not begging for a job when you know you can still play at a high level, given the opportunity. When you have a defensive back playing offense and running routes, then I think that's more desperate than my actual tweet itself." According to Owens, teams are showing no interest because there's still a perception that he'd be a distraction in the locker room.

While he may not have much left in the tank at 38 years old, TO has always kept himself in excellent shape. At best, though, he is a late-round flier in fantasy football leagues. More appropriately, you should leave him for another owner to worry about.

Palmer added he has no issues with Owens, despite rumors of such from their one season together with the Cincinnati Bengals. Was it $80 million? I doubt it. But at the same time, I feel like this is a situation for me to go out and speak and let a lot of guys know that are coming into the National Football League, or any league for that matter ...
