Cleveland Browns WR Dwayne Bowe, who had zero touchdowns in 2014 with the Kansas City Chiefs, vows to be more productive with his new team in 2015. He said he has plans of "going back to the Dwayne Bowe of 2010" when he scored 15 touchdowns in a breakout season. He has scored only 13 touchdowns in four years since. Bowe said the Browns plan to use him more downfield. Bowe hasn't topped 801 receiving yards since 2012 and has dropped 31 passes in the last four years.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe will likely be the No. 1 receiver in Cleveland, but that's not saying much, especially with the quarterback spot still unsettled. Bowe's best days are likely behind him, and he isn't very attractive for fantasy owners in his new digs as anything more than a late-round stab for receiver depth.
Tue, 24 Mar 2015 23:32:29 -0700
Cleveland Browns WR Dwayne Bowe will make $12.5 million over two years. There is a $3.5 million signing bonus and $9 million in guaranteed money included in the deal.

Thu, 19 Mar 2015 10:49:39 -0700
Free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs) is signing with the Cleveland Browns, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe likely will be the No. 1 wide receiver for the Browns next season and should see a good amount of targets. He has only caught eight touchdowns over the last three years and has not recorded a 1,000-yard season since 2011. Owners probably would consider Bowe as a middle-round option in drafts next season who can be a No. 3 receiver for a fantasy team.
Sun, 15 Mar 2015 09:21:06 -0700
Free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs) is meeting with the Cleveland Browns, and the Browns hope to sign Bowe during the visit.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe likely would be a starter for the Browns and could be the team's No. 1 receiver. He posted solid numbers in 2014 with 60 receptions and 754 yards but did not catch a touchdown during the season. Bowe could be a middle- to late-round pick in drafts if he becomes a member of the Browns.
Sat, 14 Mar 2015 17:57:47 -0700
Free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs) began a visit with the Cleveland Browns Saturday, March 14, and it will continue Sunday, March 15, according to a league source.
Fantasy Tip: Cleveland needs to upgrade its receiving corps, but given the Browns' situation at quarterback, Bowe would still be a bench option at best for fantasy owners if he signs.
Thu, 12 Mar 2015 19:59:44 -0700
Free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe was released by the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday, March 12.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe's release was expected after the team signed Jeremy Maclin during free agency. His fantasy value moving forward will depend largely on where he ends up, but if he lands with a more prolific passing attack, he could be a solid WR3 in 2015.
Thu, 12 Mar 2015 16:07:42 -0700
Free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs) is an option for the Cleveland Browns at wide receiver.
Fantasy Tip: The Browns are in dire need of another wide receiver, but Bowe's value would be limited with Cleveland's mediocre situation at quarterback. He probably wouldn't have much more value than he did with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Thu, 12 Mar 2015 10:52:56 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe is expected to be released Thursday, March 12.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe probably should be considered a WR3 as he enters the free-agent market, but if he signs in the right situation, he could see increased value in 2015. This is a situation to monitor during the offseason.
Tue, 10 Mar 2015 10:20:43 -0700
Updating previous reports, Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe is likely to be cut this week.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe's best days are probably behind him. He's still worth monitoring, though. If he landed in a system like New England, he could easily have a bounce-back year.
Thu, 05 Mar 2015 08:31:02 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe may be cut if the team cannot trade him.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe could see his fantasy football stock rise if he lands in the right spot this offseason. For now, he should be considered a WR3 in Kansas City.
Mon, 05 Jan 2015 06:32:28 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe could be released if the two sides can't agree on a pay cut this offseason.
Fri, 26 Dec 2014 13:45:43 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 26, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to check the inactive list before they decide on their lineups. Bowe still has not caught a touchdown this season and has caught three or less passes in five of his last six games. Owners should be able to find better options than Bowe at running back.
Thu, 25 Dec 2014 16:08:46 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 25. The Chiefs did not practice Thursday, so this is an estimation.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to see if Bowe is able to practice Friday, Dec. 26, so they can have a better idea of his Week 17 status. Bowe has a favorable matchup against the San Diego Chargers but is not a great option to use since he has not caught a touchdown yet this season.
Wed, 24 Dec 2014 15:13:49 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (shoulder) was held out of practice Wednesday, Dec. 24.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe ($5,555) is dealing with a sprained shoulder, and he'll probably be questionable in Week 17 against the San Diego Chargers. That should make you want to avoid him at all costs at FantasyScore, especially since the Chiefs have yet to record a wide receiver TD this year.
Mon, 22 Dec 2014 13:51:41 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (shoulder) is dealing with what the team is calling a sprained shoulder, and his availability for Week 17 against the San Diego Chargers is in question. However, head coach Andy Reid is optimistic that Bowe will be able to play in the season finale. Bowe missed all of practice last week while dealing with the flu and still caught six passes for 57 yards in Week 16. "Knowing Dwayne, he doesn't miss much," Reid said. "I think he'll be OK once it's all said and done here. We've got a little different schedule because of Christmas and we'll practice tomorrow. It will be a stretch for him to practice to be able to do that tomorrow but as the week goes on, he'll be there."
Fantasy Tip: Bowe ($5,555) is probably a flex play, at best, against the Chargers if he's playing. If he's inactive, that'll give Albert Wilson ($5,555) a boost, but again, he's still likely a very weak flex option at FantasyScore. If Bowe sits out, Jamaal Charles ($5,555) should see even more work in the passing game.
Fri, 19 Dec 2014 13:48:55 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (flu) did not practice for the third straight day this week Friday, Dec. 19, and is questionable for Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, head coach Andy Reid is confident that Bowe will play against the Steelers. "He's taken in some fluids and trying to maintain keeping those fluids in," Reid said. "We'll just see how he does. He is making improvement, but he did not practice today."
Fantasy Tip: Bowe ($4,400) is surely a risk at FantasyScore just based off his disappointing season with zero touchdowns. However, if you're feeling frisky, he could return nice value as a sleeper going against one of the worst secondaries in the league, especially in the last four weeks.
Thu, 18 Dec 2014 15:03:28 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (illness) missed his second straight practice due to an illness Thursday, Dec. 18.
Fantasy Tip: It's unclear if Bowe's illness will put him in jeopardy of missing the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's a shame if it does, since the Steelers are ripe for the picking for wideouts and QBs in fantasy leagues for most of the season. Consider Bowe ($4,400) a sleeper play at FantasyScore if he's starting this weekend.
Wed, 17 Dec 2014 15:26:14 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (illness) sat out of practice with an illness Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe has had a disappointing season with no touchdowns, but if there was ever a time to play him at FantasyScore, this might be the week. The Pittsburgh Steelers are allowing the most average fantasy points to receivers in the last four weeks (35.83). Bowe will cost you just $4,400 if you're willing to take the leap of faith.
Wed, 17 Dec 2014 10:22:25 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (illness) was sent home and will not practice Wednesday, Dec. 17, because of an illness.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe should be able to return later in the week if the illness is minor. Bowe has not scored a touchdown at this point but has a favorable matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16. Bowe only costs $4,400 on FantasyScore and could be a nice flex option for owners.
Thu, 18 Sep 2014 14:31:02 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 18.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe hasn't done much this year and the Miami Dolphins have been solid against wide receivers this season, not to mention the Chiefs will be playing on the road.
Wed, 17 Sep 2014 15:15:36 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Fantasy Tip: While the injury should not slow him down, Bowe will cost you $5,500 (11.0% of cap) in FantasyScore. There are probably better ways to spend that cap space in Week 3.
Fri, 12 Sep 2014 14:29:38 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Sept. 12, and he's listed as probable for Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe is back after his one-game suspension, and he's not expected to have his snaps limited at all against the Broncos. You'd be better served looking for a receiving option at FantasyScore, though. Bowe will cost you $4,800 (9.6% of cap).
Thu, 11 Sep 2014 16:27:43 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) isn't expected to be limited in any way in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos in his first game of the season after serving a one-game suspension, according to head coach Andy Reid. "He had a great training camp and preseason," Reid said. "I haven't seen anything (like that). I liked what I saw there. He came back in great shape. We expect him to have a real good year."
Fantasy Tip: It's a good sign for Bowe owners, but expecting anything more than WR3 numbers in his season debut is probably foolish.
Thu, 11 Sep 2014 16:21:15 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) practiced in full for the second straight day this week Thursday, Sept. 11.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe is cheap at FantasyScore ($4,800; 9.6% of cap), but you can probably find better options. Remember, it's Bowe's first game of the season coming off a one-game suspension.
Wed, 10 Sep 2014 16:25:03 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) returned to a full practice Wednesday, Sept. 10, but head coach Andy Reid said the team plans to ease him back in after he was suspended for the first week of the season. "We'll ease him back in and make sure he gets him back into the swing of things," Reid said of Bowe. "He really hadn't done much for a few weeks."
Fantasy Tip: It makes sense with Bowe missing Week 1 and being a little dinged up. The Chiefs will likely have to play catch-up with the Denver Broncos, which is good for Bowe, but he could wind up matched up against shut-down corner Aqib Talib. We recommend avoiding Bowe and his $4,800 (9.6% of cap) pricetag this weekend.
Tue, 09 Sep 2014 13:10:17 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe will return to the 53-man roster from Reserve/Suspension this week, the team announced Tuesday, Sept. 9. Bowe served a one-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Fantasy Tip: It's nice to have Bowe back, but at the same time there's somewhat of a risk. It might be best to wait a week before putting him in your lineup, but he does offer a relatively cheaper option at $4,800 on FantasyScore, even if he'll be matched up against Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib.
Wed, 27 Aug 2014 05:25:43 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Frankie Hammond Jr. is likely to start in place of suspended WR Dwayne Bowe in Week 1.
Fantasy Tip: Hammond is worth a flier in deeper leagues, but we need to see more to justify a standard-league spot.
Thu, 21 Aug 2014 12:56:39 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 21.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe has been suspended for Week 1 but should be one of the top targets in the team's passing game. Bowe probably will be a No. 3 wide receiver in most fantasy leagues.
Fri, 15 Aug 2014 09:16:05 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe will be suspended for one game for substance abuse, and he'll miss the season opener against the Tennessee Titans, according to a team source.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe's status as an undervalued sleeper for fantasy leagues is quickly fading. This news just contributes to that further. He's also dealing with a finger injury that has led to inconsistency in training camp and dropped passes. The Chiefs already don't have many reliable receivers beyond Bowe. For Week 1 against the Titans, Travis Kelce may be your best bet in daily games, especially now that Bowe will miss the contest.
Fri, 15 Aug 2014 05:44:44 -0700
Updating previous reports, Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe's (finger) finger is "shot", according to head coach Andy Reid. "It's been thrown out of place about 15 times, and he's not catching the ball," Reid said. "But he's getting his work done. You can practice with that type of thing."
Fantasy Tip: He's not expected to miss any time except an occasional day off for maintenance. He's a good WR3 in fantasy.
Thu, 14 Aug 2014 14:39:29 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (finger) suffered a finger injury but is still able to practice, according to head coach Andy Reid.
Fantasy Tip: The severity of the injury was unclear, though it can't be too serious if he can practice with it. He remains a low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 option as the Chiefs' go-to receiver.
Wed, 13 Aug 2014 12:49:22 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe is in terrific shape, according to wide receivers coach David Culley. "He's in the best shape he's been in. I know from last year, this is completely different."
Fantasy Tip: Bowe will be the top passing option in the Chiefs offense in 2014, which will make him a low-end WR2 on draft day.
Fri, 25 Jul 2014 22:59:14 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (ankle) was hit on the right ankle or foot area in a play at practice Friday, July 25. He got up limping, but did not leave the field. After practice Bowe indicated there were no problems.
Mon, 14 Jul 2014 18:38:44 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe worked out with Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald Monday, July 14, during Fitzgerald's annual workouts at the University of Minnesota.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe dropped some weight and has been working with a personal trainer this offseason, and he seems to be doing his part to rebound from a disappointing 2013 season. However, Kansas City's offense is built around Jamaal Charles, making Bowe a WR2 at best this year.
Sun, 13 Jul 2014 17:29:37 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe looked great during offseason workouts.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe should again be the team's top option in the passing game in 2014. Owners should consider Bowe a low-end No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver in fantasy drafts.
Fri, 13 Jun 2014 05:51:36 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe said he's in the best shape of his life and weighs around 210 pounds. He hired a nutritionist and trainer in the offseason for the first time in his career.
Tue, 22 Apr 2014 15:58:07 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid are treating WR Dwayne Bowe like an adult by allowing him to work hard while expressing himself. Reid has shown a willingness to trust Bowe's on-field observations and adjust Reid's play calling accordingly.
Tue, 22 Apr 2014 15:34:48 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe is focused more on working hard with his teammates and winning than individual statistics entering the 2014 season. Bowe also hired a personal trainer and nutritionist.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe has the potential to be a solid value pick in later rounds because of the volume of targets he'll receive. The upside may be limited, but the floor is borderline starter territory, especially in PPR formats, where he is a third fantasy option. Bowe bounced back from his previous career-worst season with his best in 2010.
Wed, 16 Apr 2014 15:58:06 -0700
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe pleaded guilty Wednesday, April 16, after being arrested last November for marijuana possession. He pleaded guilty to lesser charges of littering and defective equipment, and in return, the marijuana charge was dismissed. He agreed to pay $610 in fines and court costs.
Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Bowe will face a suspension with the league, but it's highly unlikely at this point.
Mon, 17 Feb 2014 23:26:12 -0800
The Kansas City Chiefs would like to clear some extra cap space in order to further improve their roster, but there aren't many veterans who would be logical cap casualties. ESPN.com's Adam Teicher writes that the biggest savings would come from LB Tamba Hali, CB Brandon Flowers, and SS Eric Berry, but notes that those players are too productive to let go. WR Dwayne Bowe and CB Sean Smith would make more sense on the field, but financially are not options for release.

Fri, 27 Dec 2013 12:25:43 -0800
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 17 against the San Diego Chargers. WR Junior Hemingway is Bowe's backup, but WR A.J. Jenkins could also see some targets as a result of Bowe's absence.
