Seahawks | No rift between 'Hawks, Marshawn Lynch

Tue, 28 Oct 2014 13:55:07 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch does not have a rift between himself and the team, according to head coach Pete Carroll. A report Sunday, Oct. 26, said that the Seahawks had grown tired of Lynch's ways. "At this point, I don't think it behooves us to try to respond to all these kinds of things," Carroll said. "Our players have told you how they feel about it, and we're in a really good place right now. It's just not worth it, but there's nothing to that." Lynch has 111 carries for 482 yards this season.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch has been scuffling of late, but he has the perfect opportunity to bounce back in Week 9 at home against the Oakland Raiders. Take a chance on him at FantasyScore for $7,200 (14.4% of cap).

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch's antics have grown tired for the Seahawks, and he's not expected to return in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch would hit free agency at the age of 29, which is older for a running back. He would still command significant interest on the open market.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch has a great matchup in Week 7 against a St. Louis defense ranked 26th against the run. He will take up 14.8% of the cap ($7,400) at FantasyScore, and after being underutilized in the team's Week 6 loss, don't be surprised if the Seahawks make it a point to have him heavily involved.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch to be fed more

Thu, 16 Oct 2014 07:31:10 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch had 10 carries in Week 6, and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said he needs to do a better job of getting Lynch the ball. "The fantasy owners… I'm not a fantasy owner. I don't care about anyone's (fantasy) points. But I do care about us winning the game. And Marshawn is a huge key for us winning the game. And I have to do a better job of giving him the ball."

Fantasy Tip: Thanks, coach! Lynch ($7,400; 14.8% of your cap) could have a huge week against the St. Louis Rams and is worth your RB1 spot on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch remains a top-tier running back that should be started on a weekly basis.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch gets usual rest

Wed, 08 Oct 2014 18:06:21 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (non-injury related) was rested in practice Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: It is customary for Lynch to rest during mid-week practices, and after a game Monday night it is not surprising in the least. He is not dealing with any specific injury, and should be fine once the Week 6 game rolls around. The Dallas Cowboys rank 20th in the NFL against the rush, so Lynch should have a big game for FantasyScore ($7700 or 15.4 percent of the cap) owners.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch owns NFC East

Tue, 07 Oct 2014 18:08:47 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch has averaged 131 total yards and more than a touchdown per game in his last eight contests against NFC East opponents, and he has topped 100 total yards and scored at least one touchdown in all eight games. The Seahawks will face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch will take up 15.4% of the cap ($7,700) at FantasyScore in Week 6, and while he is the third-most expensive player at the position, he could be worth the investment. His combination of upside and consistency against NFC East teams is exactly want fantasy owners want in a No. 1 back, and the Cowboys' 20th-ranked rush defense should help Lynch continue the trend.

Mon, 06 Oct 2014 19:04:36 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (back) did not start Monday, Oct. 6, because of a tight back. The issue went away after he was worked on by trainers.

Fantasy Tip: With the nature of his injury confirmed, it doesn't appear to be anything fantasy owners have to worry about. Lynch only missed one series and had 40 yards on seven carries at the half. He should remain one of the steadiest players at the position.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (back) was seen with trainers having a heating pack put on his back prior to entering the team's game Monday, Oct. 6.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch to be unleashed?

Fri, 19 Sep 2014 15:16:03 -0700

Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell wouldn't specify how much they'll use Lynch, but the Seahawks would be happy to give Lynch 20 touches.

Fantasy Tip: A larger workload should be expected for Lynch, and more touches will definitely help him attempt to live up to his $8,300 FantasyScore price against the Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Generally, Lynch has been held out of practice Wednesday to preserve him for the weekend, so don't expect much clarity on this situation until Thursday or Friday. However, he is usually listed on the injury report, but always seems to grit it out and play.

Seahawks | Big stalemate in Marshawn Lynch talks

Thu, 24 Jul 2014 16:51:17 -0700

Lynch wants top-three money for the position, while team officials are unwilling to give him a new deal, believing he is paid adequately. Lynch showed up for minicamp workouts only to avoid being fined.

Fantasy Tip: This could get ugly before it clears up for fantasy owners. Prepare for a lengthy standoff, because Lynch tends to hold to his convictions, and the Seahawks have quality backups in RBs Christine Michael and Robert Turbin.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch, who averaged 18.8 carries a game last season, is expected to be scaled back some this year. However, he's still expected to receive 15 or 16 carries per game with RB Christine Michael filling in at times.

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (ankle) attended the team's first day of minicamp Tuesday, June 17, but did not practice because of a sore ankle.

Fantasy Tip: His presence at minicamp should ease any concerns about whether Lynch might be retiring, and he will continue to be the main back in Seattle. He will likely give up some carries to Christine Michael, but Lynch is still a No. 1 fantasy running back.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is unlikely to retire this offseason, according to Tennessee Titans SS Jordan Babineaux. Babineaux said Lynch has been working on his training separate from the team. The Seahawks aren't likely to give Lynch an extension because he's already paid like a top-five running back.

Fantasy Tip: We don't see Beast Mode walking away from the game just yet, either. He may be spelled more often this year by Christine Michael, but Lynch remains a clear-cut No. 1 fantasy running back.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch told two teammates last season that he could retire if the team won the Super Bowl, and that option is still realistic at this point, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: If Lynch decides to walk away, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael likely would share carries this upcoming season. Michael likely would have more value because of his performance during organized team activities and his potential to be a lead back, but Turbin would also have solid value.

Lynch skipped the team's visit to the White House in May, and reportedly hasn't appeared at any of the team's voluntary organized team activities (OTAs). He is thought to be unhappy with his contact, though it's not clear if that is the only football-related reason the running back is considering skipping or reporting late to minicamp.
