Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael is expected to battle with RB Robert Turbin for the backup duties to RB Marshawn Lynch this year. Michael is expected to see plenty of action. "He's our kind of runner," general manager John Schneider said this month. "He's a tough, intense, up-field, one-cut guy. A very good football player."
Fantasy Tip: Michael seems to be a perfect fit as Lynch's backup in a zone-blocking scheme, but it's unknown what kind of impact he'll have with Turbin also in the picture. Michael probably won't have much fantasy value unless significant carries open up due to injury.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he doesn't think RB Marshawn Lynch (foot) was limited in the team's loss in the Divisional Round game against the Atlanta Falcons. "I don't think we made as much space for him," Carroll said. "I think they did a nice job playing defense against us. We had so many opportunities in the throwing game, it was just there. And so we just kept exercising it."

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Friday, Jan. 11, that RB Marshawn Lynch (foot) has a sprained foot, but he is still expected to be ready for the NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Tip: Lynch hasn't missed any game time this season due to back and foot ailments, so there is no reason to doubt he'll be ready for this important playoff matchup. The Falcons ranked 23rd against the rush during the regular season, so Lynch should have a fairly productive day even if he isn't quite 100 percent.

"Miss the flight,?" Carroll said when asked if there was a scenario that would keep Lynch out of the game. "Doesn't show up in Atlanta? He's fine. He'll be all right."
