Seattle Seahawks WR Sidney Rice (shoulders), who had surgery on both of his shoulders following the season, is guaranteed a $7 million base salary in 2012. The money is fully guaranteed, and $3.5 million of Rice's $8.5 million base salary in 2013 is guaranteed for injury only.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the concussion suffered by WR Sidney Rice (concussion) is of great concern and the team will take a cautious approach with him. Rice has suffered two concussions in the last three weeks. "Because of that, we're going to be very careful at this point ... We have to take care of him," Carroll said.

Seattle Seahawks WR Sidney Rice (concussion) is not practicing Tuesday, Nov. 29, and is highly unlikely to play in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday, Dec. 1. "Very slim that he has any chance of playing," head coach Pete Carroll said. Rice has suffered two concussions in the last three games. He will be replaced in the lineup by WR Ben Obomanu, and WR Golden Tate will see more action.
