Cleveland Indians C Lou Marson (shoulder) met with Dr. James Andrews about his ailing right shoulder, according to manager Terry Francona.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds like recovery isn't going as hoped. The Tribe has already pulled Marson off his rehab assignment. Yan Gomes will continue to serve as the backup catcher and could carry value in AL-only leagues for a while.

The Cleveland Indians have recalled C Lou Marson (shoulder) from his rehab assignment because of continued pain in his right shoulder. It is not known when he will be able to play in a game again.

Cleveland Indians SP Brett Myers (elbow) will throw his first mound session Friday, May 10, since going on the disabled list. He will throw to C Lou Marson (shoulder), who is also on the disabled list.

The Cleveland Indians have placed C Lou Marson (shoulder) on the 15-day disabled list because of inflammation in his right shoulder. In a corresponding move, C/INF Yan Gomes was recalled from Triple-A Columbus.

Cleveland Indians C Carlos Santana (wrist) left the game Monday, April 8, in the ninth inning after RP Chris Perez hit him on the left wrist; Santana appeared to have been crossed up while trying to block the pitch, misjudging a fastball for a breaking pitch.

Fantasy Tip: Santana missing time would be a big blow to the Tribe and his fantasy owners. Lou Marson would take his place if so, but he'd be most useful in AL-only setups and only good as a warm body in two-catcher mixed games. Maybe Yan Gomes would be more useful for deep dual-universe owners, but he may not play much if he's summoned from the minors.
