Colts | Gonzalez misses practice but could return soon

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez (leg) did not practice Sunday, June 7, due to an injured right leg. Gonzalez suffered the injury Saturday, but head coach Jim Caldwell is not giving any details on the injury. Gonzalez stayed on the field after hurting his leg, but spent the remainder of Saturday's practice stretching out. Caldwell said Gonzalez may return to the field Tuesday, June 9, or Wednesday, June 10.

John Oehser, of Colts.com, reports Indianapolis Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez (hip) suffered a hip pointer during the team's Week 17 game. Head coach Tony Dungy said Gonzalez should be fine for the team's Wild Card playoff game.

Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports the Indianapolis Colts primarily stuck with a two-tight end formation for much of Week 14 to counteract the Cincinnati Bengals' blitzing defense. As a result, WR Anthony Gonzalez was limited to just six plays in the game. Gonzalez did record three receptions for 27 yards with a touchdown.
