Blue Jays | Jose Reyes doubles in DL return |
Tue, 26 May 2015 04:17:57 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (ribs) hit a double off Chicago White Sox SP Hector Noesi in a 5-0 win on Monday, May 25. It was Reyes' first game back after being on the 15-day disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) looks like he is all right following time off on the disabled list. It didn't take him very long to get adjusted, so feel free to put him back in your lineup for now.

White Sox | Carlos Rodon to skip next start |
Sat, 23 May 2015 10:47:19 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon will not make his scheduled start against the Toronto Blue Jays Monday, May 25, because the team wants to limit the number of innings he throws this season. SP Hector Noesi will start in his place.
Fantasy Tip: It is uncertain when Rodon ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) will pitch again but it is expected to be sometime next week. He possesses electric stuff and could be a decent FantasyValue option depending on the matchup, but he has also been plagued by control problems, with 19 walks and 21 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings. You should avoid using Noesi ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) in FantasyScore Monday because of his high WHIP and ERA.

White Sox | Hector Noesi to start Monday |
Fri, 22 May 2015 14:23:02 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Hector Noesi will start against the Toronto Blue Jays on the road Monday, May 25.
Fantasy Tip: Noesi ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has a 5.60 ERA and 1.64 WHIP in 17 2/3 innings over four starts this year despite an 8.2 K/9 rate. Against the Blue Jays on the road, you should look to avoid Noesi at FantasyScore.

White Sox | Hector Noesi moved to bullpen |
Tue, 12 May 2015 14:50:43 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Hector Noesi has been moved to the bullpen.
Fantasy Tip: Noesi loses what little value he had in deep AL-only leagues with this move out of the starting rotation. Carlos Rodon ($4,200, 8.4% of cap), who will make his second start against the Oakland Athletics Friday, has extreme strikeout upside. However, the Pale Hose may be careful with how much he's used this year, and he'll be a risk/reward play at FantasyScore based on the matchups.

White Sox | Carlos Rodon to stay in rotation? |
Tue, 12 May 2015 10:49:39 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon isn't guaranteed to stay in the starting rotation after a solid start over the weekend and with SP Hector Noesi struggling, and manager Robin Ventura won't commit to anything past the team's series this week against the Milwaukee Brewers. A lot will depend on how much the starters pitch this week and if Noesi is needed in relief. Rodon's innings limit this year remains a big part of the equation.
Fantasy Tip: Rodon's ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) role seems to be at a crossroads right now, but it's likely that he'll stay in the rotation after being stretched out from a relief role for his start last weekend. He clearly has more upside and strikeout ability than Noesi, making him highly attractive to fantasy owners in all leagues. Rodon should be owned everywhere by now, and he'll gain more value if he sticks in the rotation. At FantasyScore, he's a fine matchup play for his strikeout abilities.

White Sox | Hector Noesi injures back |
Sat, 09 May 2015 17:49:14 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Hector Noesi (back) left in the second inning against the Cincinnati Reds Saturday, May 9, with a lower-back contusion and is considered day-to-day.
Fantasy Tip: Noesi ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has been struggling this season, and this injury could open the door for Carlos Rodon ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) to become a regular in the rotation. Rodon could make a nice upside play at FantasyScore because of his strikeout potential.

White Sox | Two starters struggling |
Sun, 03 May 2015 15:09:25 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP John Danks and SP Hector Noesi have allowed a combined nine homers and a 1.47 WHIP in their eight starts, which covered only 39 1/3 innings.
Fantasy Tip: The whole White Sox rotation is struggling, but you have to wonder if Danks ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) and Noesi ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) will have a short leash. With Carlos Rodon ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) being stretched out, one or both of these pitchers could lose a starting spot. It's best to avoid both.

White Sox | Carlos Rodon could be in rotation soon |
Mon, 20 Apr 2015 10:01:57 -0700
Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon, who is equipped with a devastating slider and who has been compared with Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw and San Francisco Giants SP Madison Bumgarner, will initially pitch out of the bullpen, but he could find himself in the starting rotation as soon as the series against the Detroit Tigers May 5-7. A heavy workload at North Carolina State last year makes him an injury risk, but he could still replace SPs John Danks or Hector Noesi in the rotation and throw a total of around 175 to 180 innings in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Rodon is currently unavailable at FantasyScore because he'll initially pitch in relief. In all other fantasy leagues, Rodon should be acquired immediately and stashed in the meantime. There's a good chance he's already owned in AL-only formats.
