Panthers | Jarrett likely to miss some time

Panthers.com reports Carolina Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett (leg) did not practice Tuesday, Aug. 12, due to a bruised leg. Head coach John Fox said Jarrett will be back in time for the team's final preseason game. "He'll be back, I suspect, even before that. Luckily it was not as bad as it looked," Fox said.

The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett pleaded guilty Monday, June 23, to driving while impaired. He surrendered his driver's license and was ordered to pay $420 in court costs and to perform 24 hours of community service. Jarrett will be subject to more frequent tests for drug and alcohol as he will be entering the first stage of the NFL's substance abuse program.
