St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher expressed confidence in OT Jake Long returning to the player he once was. "We think he's got a lot of good snaps left," Fisher said. "No question. He fought through some injuries, and I think his production dropped because of it. But there's no reason he doesn't get back to 100 percent. He's gonna be a huge part of what we want to do moving forward in protection," Fisher said. "Sam (Bradford)'s gonna feel very comfortable with his back protected."

Rams | Will talk with Rodger Saffold about position

St. Louis Rams general manager Les Snead said OT Rodger Saffold has played right tackle before but will meet with Saffold to talk about his position. "So we'll sit down and discuss that internally with the player and even his agent. But Rodger's a team player and he's young. If he comes in and consistently plays like he did at the end of last year, Rodger will be fine and we'll be better," Snead said. Snead said the team has not decided if Saffold or OT Jake Long will play at left tackle.

The Miami Dolphins are expected to have as much as $50 million in salary cap space this offseason. They will be forced with whether to re-sign impending free-agent CB Sean Smith, WR Brian Hartline and possibly DL Randy Starks and OT Jake Long. Miami could target an impact player on the free-agent market, but they will not overspend. Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings, Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe and Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace are all set to be free agents. The Dolphins could look to add a tight end, too, with TE Michael Egnew not ready to contribute. Their potential targets their include New York Giants TE Martellus Bennett, Tennessee Titans TE Jared Cook, Washington Redskins TE Fred Davis or New York Jets TE Dustin Keller.

He's been called for a team-high seven penalties and has allowed four sacks (second-most on the team). Miami will have more than $50 million in cap space this offseason, too. They could use their franchise tag on him on a one-year deal worth $15.36 million.
