Dolphins | Team didn't run much behind J. Long

Ben Volin, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the Miami Dolphins did not do much running behind OT Jake Long during their preseason game Saturday, Aug. 9. Only two running plays were called to the left side. One was a rush by RB Ronnie Brown for no gain, and the other was a sweep to the left to RB Ricky Williams. Williams was forced to cut back to the right after the blocking broke down. Long said he felt comfortable on the field, but he said he has "a lot of things to work on."

Dolphins | Long to be left tackle

Harvey Fialkov, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins OT Jake Long will be the team's starting left tackle, according to head coach Tony Sparano. "We see Jake as a left tackle. Left tackle is our need, and that's where he's going to be playing for us," Sparano said.
