Thomas Harding, of Rockies.MLB.com, reports the Colorado Rockies must decide before Friday, June 1, whether or not to pay Yucatan of the Mexican League $1.3 million for the rights to P Oscar Rivera, or return him to the club. The Rockies currently have a spot available on their 40-man roster.

Joe Frisaro, of Rockies.MLB.com, reports Colorado Rockies P Oscar Rivera (shoulder) experienced some discomfort in his right shoulder Friday, Feb. 2, at the Caribbean World Series and was consequently shut down. Rivera is a non-roster invitee to the Rockies' spring training.

Tom Singer, of MLB.com, reports the Colorado Rockies put in a $1.3 million bid for the rights to negotiate with P Oscar Rivera of Mayos de Navajoa of the Mexican Winter League. Rivera is 5-2 with a 2.32 ERA.
