Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) left his team's game Saturday, May 2. He had been activated from the 15-day disabled list.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez likely back Saturday

Fri, 01 May 2015 09:53:44 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) is likely to return from the disabled list Saturday, May 2, manager Ron Roenicke confirmed. The team is still deciding whether he'll hit leadoff or elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Gomez ($6,100, 12.2% of your cap) is an elite fantasy outfielder. If the team opts to hit him in the middle of the order, it really enhances his value on FantasyScore and in traditional leagues.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez eyeing a Saturday return

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 14:03:56 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) said he expects to return to the lineup Saturday, May 2.

Fantasy Tip: Seasonal players will want to return Gomez ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) to their lineups immediately, however, it would be wise to take a more cautious approach in daily games. Allow Gomez to shake off some rust before spending up for the top-tier outfielder in FantasyScore contests. Make sure to check back for an official announcement on Gomez's return.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez could return this weekend

Tue, 28 Apr 2015 16:35:13 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) could return at some point this weekend for the Brewers' series in Chicago.

Fantasy Tip: Gomez ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) will immediately warrant FantasyScore consideration after spending the minimum amount of time on the disabled list. Gomez should've been stashed in all leagues, but it'll be worthwhile for owners in less competitive leagues to check their waiver wires.

Brewers | Logan Schafer starting strong

Tue, 28 Apr 2015 16:27:03 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Logan Schafer started in center field for the fifth time in the last eight games Tuesday, April 28, against the Cincinnati Reds. Schafer continues to fill in for the injured Carlos Gomez (hamstring), who is expected to return from the disabled list at some point this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: Schafer ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting .353 over the previous week, with three doubles and four runs scored. FantasyScore owners are unlikely to find many better outfield options for the minimum price and can continue starting Schafer whenever the Brewers do.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez making progress

Sat, 25 Apr 2015 05:48:30 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) was able to hit on the field and run on a treadmill Friday, April 24. Manager Ron Roenicke said he hopes Gomez will be able to return a little after the 15 days on the disabled list.

Fantasy Tip: Gomez appears to be making good progress but probably will have to play in a few rehab games before returning. Gerardo Parra ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has been in the starting lineup while Gomez is sidelined but is not a great option on FantasyScore since he has only one hit in his last six games.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez feeling better

Mon, 20 Apr 2015 13:52:37 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) said his hamstring feels better. He was able to hit and throw Monday, April 20, and he is currently taking his recovery day-to-day.

Fantasy Tip: Continue to stash Gomez in all formats and check back for updates. Gerardo Parra ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is filling in for Gomez, but hasn't caught any traction with his bat. He has gone 3-for-14 over his past four starts with a .267 OBP. Still, at his cap hit, Parra has upside for FantasyScore contests.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez return timeline

Fri, 17 Apr 2015 15:21:05 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) is expected to miss two to three weeks, according to manager Ron Roenicke.

Fantasy Tip: It is still an early, but fantasy owners should prepare to be without Gomez for the foreseeable future. In his absence, Gerardo Parra ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) receives a huge value boost, and he is capable of helping in the majority of formats. Parra is a great low-priced target for FantasyScore players at his current price point.

Brewers | Carlos Gomez to DL

Fri, 17 Apr 2015 07:43:26 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Carlos Gomez (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday, April 17. The move is retroactive to April 16. OF Jason Rogers was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Fantasy Tip: Place Gomez on your disabled list in traditional leagues. Gerardo Parra ($1,900, 3.8% of your cap) could be a matchup play on FantasyScore in his absence. Rogers has little fantasy appeal.
