Updating a previous report, New York Yankees RP Joba Chamberlain signed a one-year, $1.675 million deal. RP David Robertson signed a one-year, $1.6 million deal and can ear $25,000 in performance bonuses. Neither deal is guaranteed.

New York Yankees RP Joba Chamberlain (elbow) has played long-toss recently at 150 feet without experiencing pain or swelling. He said he will take two weeks off before resuming training and expects to head to the team's spring training complex in Tampa at the end of next month. However, it remains unlikely that Chamberlain will be on the team's Opening Day roster. "It's hard to say what his timetable is," general manager Brian Cashman said. "He's a reliever, so you don't have to build his innings up, but it's anywhere from 10 to 13 months and he had his surgery in June. Could he be a little earlier? It's safe to say June or July."
