The Texas Rangers signed free-agent P Zach Jackson (Rangers), P Derek Hankins (Rangers) and P Douglas Salinas (Reds) to minor league deals with invitations to spring training Thursday, Dec. 15.

Reds.MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports the Cincinnati Reds selected P Douglas Salinas (Rays) in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 Draft. In 2009 for Class A Hudson Valley, the 21-year-old Salinas was 5-0 with a 2.61 ERA in 22 relief appearances.
