The Texas Rangers cut C Dusty Brown, C Luis Martinez and SP Greg Reynolds Saturday, March 31. Reynolds is expected to join the rotation at Triple-A Round Rock.

C Dusty Brown (arm) threw to the bases Thursday, March 15, and will travel with the team this weekend. RP Joe Beimel (illness) returned Friday after dealing with an illness.

OF Conor Jackson (eye) will return to spring action as well, and his left eye is fully healed. C Dusty Brown (arm) won't play Monday due to arm fatigue.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are interested in claiming Baltimore Orioles 1B Jake Fox off waivers if the Baltimore passes him through outright waivers.

The Pirates are expected to place C Chris Snyder (back) on the disabled list, which means C Wyatt Toregas will be backing up C Dusty Brown. C Jason Jaramillo (elbow) is on the disabled list in the minors. Fox would be able to help out behind the plate, but they aren't interested in trading for him.
