Colorado Rockies OF Dexter Fowler has been training in Las Vegas with SS Troy Tulowitzki and 1B Jason Giambi this offseason, and Fowler has already added seven pounds of muscle and improved his bench press from 185 pounds to 260 pounds. "This is the best I have ever felt with the weight I have gained," said Fowler. "I can't wait until spring training. I can't wait until the season starts to help turn things around." He worked extensively to correct his left-handed swing last summer, and he is focusing on improving his first-step quickness this winter.

The Colorado Rockies have made no progress in their attempts to acquire Atlanta Braves 2B Martin Prado. The Braves would take OF Seth Smith in return, but want more, and the Rockies aren't willing to cave into their demands for a center fielder such as OF Dexter Fowler.

Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki is working out with 1B Jason Giambi, OF Dexter Fowler and 3B Nolan Arenado in Las Vegas this month. 3B Ian Stewart may join them.

Updating a previous report, the Colorado Rockies are adamant that they will not trade OF Dexter Fowler to the Atlanta Braves for 2B Martin Prado. The Atlanta Braves apparently want a center fielder in return for Prado.

The Colorado Rockies have expressed an interest in free-agent OF Grady Sizemore (Indians). The team has OF Dexter Fowler in center field, and it's uncertain if Sizemore would be open to changing positions.
