|Rangers | Texas looking at Dexter Fowler|
Mon, 01 Feb 2016 09:43:20 -0800
Fantasy Tip: If Fowler were to land in Texas, he'd likely be competing for playing time in either left or center field. He had a career-high 17 homers and 46 RBI for the Chicago Cubs last year, and a move to another hitter-friendly park would keep him relevant in the late middle rounds of mixed leagues for outfield depth.

|MLB | Chicago teams eyeing Dexter Fowler|
Wed, 27 Jan 2016 17:57:47 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The soon-to-be 30-year-old Fowler is a reliable source of runs scored and stolen bases and experienced the best season of his career in 2015. He batted .250 with 17 home runs, 46 RBIs and 20 steals, along with 102 runs scored, while serving as the Cubs' leadoff hitter last year. Fowler should be taken in the middle rounds of drafts for single-universe leagues and cavernous mixed leagues.

|Giants | SF active in outfield market|
Wed, 09 Dec 2015 10:17:17 -0800
The San Francisco Giants are active in the free-agent outfield market, and they are open to any of free-agent OFs Yoenis Cespedes (Mets), Justin Upton (Padres), Jason Heyward (Cardinals), Alex Gordon (Royals), Dexter Fowler (Cubs) and Denard Span (Nationals).
Fantasy Tip: With Angel Pagan's health being an issue the last couple of seasons and after losing Nori Aoki in free agency, the Giants are desperately trying to build more depth. Stay tuned for which of these free-agent outfielders falls within their monetary constraints.

|Giants | SF prefers outfield defense|
Tue, 08 Dec 2015 14:16:47 -0800
The San Francisco Giants are talking with free-agent outfielders but prefer free-agent OFs Jason Heyward (Cardinals), Alex Gordon (Royals) or Dexter Fowler (Cubs) over OFs Yoenis Cespedes (Mets) and Justin Upton (Padres) due to defensive reasons.
Fantasy Tip: The free-agent outfield market has been slow to develop, so stay tuned. With San Fran being a pitching-friendly environment, any of these outfielders would be slightly less appealing if they were to sign with the Giants.

|Giants | SF interested in Gerardo Parra, Dexter Fowler|
Mon, 07 Dec 2015 16:43:08 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Fowler has 20-20 potential, although a move to a pitcher-friendly park would slightly lower his fantasy ceiling. Parra will likely be an afterthought for owners in shallow mixed leagues because of his precipitous fall after being traded to the Baltimore Orioles. Look for him as a steal as a late-round flier.

|Mets | Mets are eyeing the outfield market|
Fri, 04 Dec 2015 15:04:23 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Parra, Span and Fowler are all late-round outfield targets who offer modest cross-category production. Span would likely slide into a lead-off role, but he hasn't been able to stay healthy and has averaged just 112 games per season over the past five years. Parra faded significantly after his relocation to the Balitmore Orioles in the second half, and the jury is still out on whether he can produce with full-time at-bats. Continue to check back for updates, but an offseason outfield addition wouldn't be a plus for Juan Lagares.

|Cubs | Dexter Fowler headed for free agency|
Fri, 13 Nov 2015 14:43:15 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Fowler was a spark plug atop the Chicago lineup in 2015, and he scored 102 runs and flirted with a 20-20 season, as he hit 17 home runs and swiped 20 bags. Most importantly, though, Fowler stayed healthy and played a career-high 156 games. Stay tuned for updates on where he signs, as it'll greatly impact his fantasy upside. It will be tough for him to land in a more favorable spot, though.

|Mariners | Seattle wants athletic OF|
Wed, 11 Nov 2015 10:13:33 -0800
The Seattle Mariners may be inclined to trade for the likes of New York Yankees OF Brett Gardner, St. Louis Cardinals OFs Jon Jay or Peter Bourjos, Texas Rangers OF Leonys Martin or Boston Red Sox OF Jackie Bradley Jr. rather than sign impending free-agent OFs Dexter Fowler (Cubs), Austin Jackson (Cubs) or Denard Span (Nationals).
Fantasy Tip: Gardner is likely Seattle's top trade target and is the biggest fantasy name of the bunch. A move to pitcher-friendly Safeco Field would turn many off to Gardner, but that could make him a better value pick in 2016 fantasy drafts for his speed.

|Mets | NYM interested in Dexter Fowler|
Sun, 08 Nov 2015 11:24:21 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Fowler hit .250 with 17 home runs, 46 RBIs and 20 steals in 156 regular-season games as the Cubs' leadoff hitter and center fielder and scored a career-high 102 runs in 2015. He is a reliable source of runs and stolen bases and should be taken in the middle rounds of fantasy baseball drafts next year.

|Cubs | Dexter Fowler receives qualifying offer|
Fri, 06 Nov 2015 12:20:23 -0800
Fantasy Tip: A career-high 102 runs and 17 home runs paired with Fowler's 46 RBI, 20 stolen bases and a .250/.346/.411 slash line this season made him one of the best late-round steals or grabs off the waiver wire of the 2015 season. Be careful not to overreach for Fowler in 2016, though.
