The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in Carolina Panthers assistant offensive line coach Ray Brown for their offensive line coaching position. The Panthers have not allowed Brown to talk to the Steelers at this time but are expected to allow it after they are out of the playoffs.

Tim Booth, of the Associated Press, reports Washington Redskins OG Ray Brown has retired from the NFL. Brown said, "This is it. Unless there's some flag football somewhere. I'm not going to hit anybody." The 43-year old lineman retired after 272 games and 20 years in the league. He played for five separate teams, including the St. Louis Cardinals, and made one Pro Bowl appearance in 2001.
