Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said if QB Joe Flacco believes he is the best quarterback in the NFL, he must prepare himself to play like the best. "If you make a statement like that you have to prepare yourself to be the best," Newsome said.

The Baltimore Ravens had interest in FS Rahim Moore but he was taken by the Denver Broncos before they picked in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. General manager Ozzie Newsome said the team likely would have taken Moore if he were available and WR Torrey Smith were not available.

I think he's more than ready to do it," Newsome said. "As we move forward, I think this will be Joe's offense; it won't be (offensive coordinator Cam Cameron's) offense."

Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome did not put a timetable on how much longer he'll continue to run the team, but emphasized he remains happy in his job. Newsome is often the subject of unfounded rumors that he's going to return to Alabama to become the athletic director at his alma mater. "Well, I don't know," Newsome said. "I'm still enjoying this. I've got a great working relationship with the owner, the president and the head coach. I've got a great building to come to work. Now that they've got Nick Saban, they don't need me. Nick is running everything. Now that Nick's down there, it allows me to stay up here and enjoy this."

The Baltimore Ravens are likely to select a wide receiver prospect at some point in the NFL Draft, according to general manager Ozzie Newsome, reports Aaron Wilson, of NationalFootballPost.com. "We're looking to add to our receiving corps, yes we are," Newsome said. "We've done a good job of stacking the board with some guys that have some size, some guys that have some unique quickness about them."

Former NFL QB Bernie Kosar is sending word that he's open to working for an NFL team next season, according to Terry Pluto, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He has been talking to the likes of Baltimore Ravens president Ozzie Newsome and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Kosar could work as a special consultant for a team.
