Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome announced Ravens LB Rolando McClain, 23, has informed the team he is retiring. Baltimore has placed McClain on the Reserve/Retired list.
Fantasy Tip: This is a curious decision, especially for such a young player, but McClain has been embroiled in off-the-field issues and may need time away from football to straighten out his life. It would not be surprising to see him make a comeback attempt down the line. He projected as a reserve for the Ravens, so this move shouldn't affect their fantasy value as a low-end No. 1 defensive team.

"He was one of the best special teamers in the league, but he was also a valued member of our defense, especially in our sub (substitute) packages. He became a leader for us, and the door may not be closed to bring him back to help us again."
