The San Francisco Chronicle reports San Francisco 49ers DT Junior Bryant's future remains up in the air because of the bulging disk problem in his neck. He sat out last year because of the problem and probably won't play for the 49ers again. If the team cut him, they'd still be hit with $2 million in salary cap damage. If he's cut after June 1 or retires, the team could cut that hit in half. However, he's due a $500,000 roster bonus soon.
