The Atlanta Braves signed free-agent SS Emerson Landoni (Yankees) to a minor league contract. They also released RP Dustin Richardson and 2B Marcus Lemon.

Danny Wild, of MLB.com, reports Texas Rangers SS Marcus Lemon hit a grand slam in the Arizona Fall League Thursday, Nov. 12. It was his second home run in five games. Lemon is hitting .346 and has 12 hits in his last six games, including six RBIs and four runs scored during that time. He is likely to see time at Triple-A Oklahoma City next season.

Brittany Ghiroli, of MLB.com, reports Texas Rangers SS Marcus Lemon went 4-for-5 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored in the Arizona Fall League Tuesday, Nov. 3. He raised his AFL average to .313.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Texas Rangers P Thomas Diamond is among six Rangers minor leaguers that will play in the Arizona Fall League. P Brennan Garr, P Evan Reed, C Doug Hogan, IF Marcus Lemon and 1B/OF Mitch Moreland are also on the Surprise Rafters' roster. P Tanner Scheppers, the No. 44 overall draft pick, could play as well.
