The extent of the surgery is not known, but Jackson was able to play with the injury in week 7. Fantasy Tip: The Rams play the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. If Jackson cannot go, look for Kenneth Darby and Keith Toston to share the workload. The Panthers have allowed 28.7 attempts for 139.3 rushing yards and 0.67 touchdowns per game to the position in the past month. Running backs have also averaged 4.33 receptions for 39.0 yards against Carolina in this time. Darby should be added in all formats and is available in 86 percent of leagues polled. Toston can be left to the waiver wire, unless you're very desperate for one-week play. He is available in 99 percent of surveyed leagues.

Feeley (thumb, elbow) has completed 66.7 percent of his passes and has a quarterback rating of 107.6, but he won't start Thursday, Aug. 26, because of thumb and elbow injuries. QB Sam Bradford will instead start Thursday, but he has just a 51.6 quarterback rating this preseason.

Spagnuolo pledged to Bulger that he "and the rest of this team have all the confidence in the world in him." Bulger acknowledged that Spagnuolo's words provided considerable relief. "Any time a new staff comes in, they're going to bring in the people they want," Bulger said. "He made it clear to me from the get-go that he wanted me to be his quarterback, and I appreciate that." The 2009 campaign is considered a make-or-break season for Bulger with the Rams.
