|Nationals | Nats a landing spot for Ben Zobrist|
Tue, 24 Nov 2015 11:08:59 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist is attractive as outfield depth or as a midrange second baseman in fantasy leagues for his consistency at the plate. He also has double-digit home run potential. He's the perfect target in deep mixed leagues with added starting spots because of his positional versatility.

|Mets | Ben Zobrist drawing interest from Mets|
Mon, 16 Nov 2015 11:33:47 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The Mets are unlikely to bring back postseason hero Daniel Murphy, so Zobrist would give them an option at second base and to use in the outfield. He's steady at the plate with a career average of .265 and has double-digit home run power, although a move to Citi Field could hurt his power numbers. Zobrist's primary value in traditional leagues lies in deep mixed formats as a middle infielder. His positional versatility is his biggest asset to fantasy owners.

|Cardinals | St. Louis interested in Ben Zobrist|
Thu, 12 Nov 2015 10:08:59 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist mainly appeals to fantasy owners because of his positional versatility as a middle infielder or outfielder. His average will keep you afloat, and he has double-digit home run power, but beyond that is a rather boring commodity. In deep mixed leagues, though, his versatility is extremely useful in the mid to late rounds.

|Yankees | Ben Zobrist, Martin Prado interest NYY|
Wed, 11 Nov 2015 13:05:22 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Middle infield was an area of weakness for the Yankees last season, and adding a veteran presence to the middle of the diamond and lineup would be a significant boost to their team. Still, Zobrist or Prado shouldn't be confused with heavy lifters in fantasy terms. Both are capable of returning a respectable batting average while chipping in across the counting stats. However, neither are contributors in the stolen base column.

|Mets | Matt Harvey has struggled against lefties|
Tue, 27 Oct 2015 11:49:04 -0700
New York Mets SP Matt Harvey has particularly liked to throw his fastball to left-handed hitters on the outside of the plate. He had a .676 OPS against lefties this year compared to .544 against righties, and 15 of the 18 home runs he allowed in 2015 were to lefty hitters. The Kansas City Royals are notoriously good fastball hitters, and their lefty hitters like fastballs away. 2B Ben Zobrist (.206/.372/.324), 1B Eric Hosmer (.379/.463/.707), 1B Kendrys Morales (.400/.494/.662), 3B Mike Moustakas (.300/.385/.500) and OF Alex Gordon (.340/.407/.698) all had success against right-handed fastballs away.
Fantasy Tip: Harvey is one of the better young fastball pitchers, but against the best fastball-hitting team in baseball this year, he'll need to effectively mix in his slider and changeup to keep them off balance and be successful, especially against the lefties. Harvey's high innings total after coming off Tommy John surgery will be a narrative in the World Series, as well.

|Royals | Ben Zobrist homers in ALCS Game 6|
Sat, 24 Oct 2015 00:41:29 -0700
Kansas City Royals 2B Ben Zobrist hit a first-inning home run Friday, Oct. 23, in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series. Zobrist finished the ALCS with a .320 batting average and two homers.
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) has been a low-cost source of power and should be activated on FantasyScore if you want to save some cap money.

|Royals | Ben Zobrist sitting vs. Cleveland|
Sun, 27 Sep 2015 08:23:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) owns a solid .299/.383/.488 slash line over 52 games since joining the Royals, and he remains a low-end starting option at either middle infield position in all fantasy formats. Colon ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) owns a .352 on-base percentage this season and boasts a respectable floor at a discount for FantasyScore contests Sunday.

|Royals | Omar Infante has oblique strain|
Wed, 23 Sep 2015 09:02:49 -0700
Kansas City Royals 2B Omar Infante (oblique) is dealing with a Grade 1-plus oblique strain, which typically causes a player to miss two to four weeks, according to manager Ned Yost. Infante last played Friday, Sept. 18. Yost is hoping Infante can make it back to play in the postseason. 2B Ben Zobrist has replaced Infante at second base and is batting .308 with a .389 on-base percentage in 47 games with Kansas City.
Fantasy Tip: Infante ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) hadn't been playing regularly anyways and is more of a defense-first commodity. Zobrist ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) clearly has more offensive upside and should be owned everywhere. He has really picked it up with the lumber ever since being traded at the deadline and joining a more potent offense.

|Royals | Ben Zobrist sitting vs. Tigers|
Fri, 18 Sep 2015 14:23:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: After a hot start with the Royals, Zobrist ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) has slowed down a touch with a .267/.333/.450 slash line in September. Infante ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is coming off a seven RBI showing Thursday, Sept. 17, but he still shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a low-priced dice roll at FantasyScore Friday.

|Royals | Alex Gordon taking day off|
Thu, 17 Sep 2015 11:48:26 -0700
Kansas City Royals OF Alex Gordon is not in the starting lineup Thursday, Sept. 17. 2B Ben Zobrist is starting in left field and hitting leadoff, while 2B Omar Infante draws the starts at second base and is hitting seventh against Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber.
Fantasy Tip: Kluber has missed his last two starts due to injury, so this might be the time to play Zobrist ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) against him on FantasyScore. Infante ($2,700, 5.4% of cap), on the other hand, is a daily commodity to avoid against last year's Cy Young winner.
