The Austin American-Statesman, citing Dallas TV station KDFW, reports former University of Texas DT Marco Martin has been charged with sexually assaulting a child, an incident that allegedly occurred in 1999 when the child was 6. Martin left the team after the 2005 season and declared for the NFL's supplemental draft this summer. He was not drafted. According to the TV report, Martin turned himself in to Dallas police Thursday, Aug, 10, on the sexual assault charge. Bail was set at $25,000.

John Murphy, of Yahoo Sports, reports Texas DT Marco Martin is now entering the July 13 NFL Supplemental draft. Martin faded into the background the past few years after failing to break into Texas' defensive tackle rotation. Martin had previously run the 40-yard dash in the 5.20-second range, but the Mesquite (Texas) High School product has produced estimated 40 times at or below five seconds as recently as 2002 and 2003. The 6-foot-3 Martin has had some weight issues, tipping the scales between 335 and 355 pounds.
