P Hector Rondon and C Carlos Santana were optioned to Double-A Akron. P Jack Cassel, P David Huff, C Armando Camacaro, 1B Jordan Brown, 3B Wes Hodges, IF Jesus Merchan, IF Beau Mills and OF Stephen Head were reassigned to the minor leagues.

The Associated Press reports the Cleveland Indians agreed to one-year deals with 1B Ryan Garko, 2B Asdrubal Cabrera, OF Ben Francisco, RP Rafael Perez, RP Jensen Lewis, RP Joe Smith, P Edward Mujica, P Hector Rondon, P Juan Salas, SP Zach Jackson, SP Scott Lewis, 3B Andy Marte, 2B Luis Valbuena, OF Trevor Crowe, OF Chris Gimenez and C Carlos Santana Tuesday, March 10. Garko will make $446,100, Cabrera will receive $416,700, Francisco will make $421,400, Perez will earn $436,300, Lewis will receive $418,600 and Smith will make $427,500.

Updating a previous report, Marc Lancaster, of The Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Rays RP Juan Salas (seizure) is expected to be fine after suffering an epileptic seizure Monday, Sept. 8. However, he will not be at the game Monday.
