The Washington Nationals assigned Ps Yunesky Maya, Jeff Fulchino and Waldis Joaquin and OF Eury Perez to minor league camp Thursday, March 15. Maya was sent to Triple-A Syracuse and Perez landed in Double-A Harrisburg.

Free-agent RP Jeff Fulchino (Padres) has signed a split contract with the Washington Nationals, according to Lisa Pierce, his agent. The contract would pay him one salary for the minors and a different salary for the majors; no financial terms were announced.

The Houston Astros signed 1B Brett Wallace and RP Jeff Fulchino to one-year deals Thursday, Feb. 10, according to the Houston Chronicle's Zachary Levine. Wallace will receive $418,000 and Fulchino will make $467,000.
