The Arizona Cardinals are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent RB Chester Taylor this offseason because they are getting RB Ryan Williams (knee) back from injury.

Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells carried eight times for 33 yards in Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers. RB Chester Taylor actually led the team in rushing, getting just one attempt for 34 yards. It was the longest run against the 49ers this season.

Arizona Cardinals RB Alfonso Smith is expected to start in Week 8 if RB Beanie Wells (knee) is not able to play. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said RBs Chester Taylor and LaRod Stephens-Howling would also see time with the team using a little bit of a running back-by-committee approach.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chester Taylor got the start in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, but he was replaced by Alfonso Smith after eight carries, and Smith played the balance of the game. "It's a tough situation, to come in and have to play when you haven't been with the team very long," Whisenhunt said of Taylor. The team signed Taylor during the week of the regular season opener.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chester Taylor had eight carries for 20 yards in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. He also posted one catch for 12 yards. He had nine touches in the absence of RB Beanie Wells (hamstring), but RB Alfonso Smith had more than double the touches with 20.
