The Houston Astros optioned SP Jordan Lyles to Triple-A Oklahoma City Monday, April 2, according to a person close to the situation. SPs Lucas Harrell and Kyle Weiland are expected to be a part of the rotation along with SPs Wandy Rodriguez, Bud Norris and J.A. Happ.

The Houston Astros released SP Livan Hernandez Friday, March 30. Manager Bradley Mills hinted that SP Lucas Harrell could receive a rotation spot. However, SPs Wandy Rodriguez, Bud Norris, J.A. Happ, Kyle Weiland and Jordan Lyles are expected to fill out the five-man rotation.

Houston Astros SP Bud Norris (triceps) will have two extra days of rest this week as he recovers from triceps stiffness. He will start again Friday, March 30, and the team isn't concerned that he won't be ready for opening day.
