Indians | Three-way trade completed

The Cleveland Indians traded OF Shin-Soo Choo to the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday, Dec. 11, and they acquired SP Trevor Bauer from the Arizona Diamondbacks in the three-team trade. The Reds also added INF Jason Donald from the Indians, while sending minor-league SS Didi Gregorius to the Diamondbacks. The Indians sent RP Tony Sipp and 1B Lars Anderson to Arizona, and added RP Matt Albers and P Bryan Shaw.

Fantasy Tip: Choo moving to the Reds is a tremendous boon for his fantasy value. He has five-tool ability, and can be a great add early on draft day in NL-only formats, and mixed leaguers will certainly want to target him in the early to middle rounds. He'll be a consistent source of runs scored in a more potent lineup.

Bauer is the key piece for the Indians, as they get a potential cornerstone pitcher. He will be a great addition to their rotation, but keep in mind he might struggle for victories with a lineup that isn't looking too potent. In mixed leagues, he'll certainly be worth an add in the middle to late rounds for his potential, and he remains a must-have in long-term keeper formats.

The Cincinnati Reds acquired OF Shin-Soo Choo from the Cleveland Indians Tuesday, Dec. 11. The Reds also receive INF Jason Donald. The compensation for the Indians is still being worked on.

Cleveland Indians INF Jason Donald (hand) continued to work through hitting and fielding drills Wednesday, Sept. 26. Manager Manny Acta is hopeful Donald will be available for full duties Friday, Sept. 28.

Cleveland Indians 2B Jason Donald (wrist) was "sore" after swinging a bat Sunday, Sept. 23, the first time he's done so since injuring his wrist Sept. 14. There is no timetable for Donald's return.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Indians INF Jason Donald (wrist) played catch before the game Tuesday, Sept. 18, against the Minnesota Twins. Donald is still only available off the bench as a pinch runner or emergency fielding duty.

Cleveland Indians 2B Jason Donald (hand) underwent an X-ray on his injured right hand and it came back negative. He has been diagnosed with a hand contusion and is considered day-to-day.

The Cleveland Indians have placed DH Travis Hafner (back) on the 15-day disabled list with lower back inflammation. In a corresponding move, the team recalled INF Jason Donald from Triple-A Columbus.
