The Colorado Rockies are inviting 24 non-roster players to spring camp next week, including seven pitchers with Major League Baseball experience. The full list includes P's Tyler Anderson, Miguel Batista, Chad Bettis, Manuel Corpas, Parker Frazier, Daniel Houston, Logan Kensing, Jeff Manship, Mike McClendon, Nicholas Schmidt, Erick Threets and Chris Volstad; OF's Kent Matthes, Corey Dickerson, and Kyle Parker; INF's Nolan Arenado, Tommy Manzella, Matt McBride, Ben Paulsen and Henry Wrigley; and C's Yorvit Torrealba, Gustavo Molina, Lars Davis and Jose Gonzalez.

The Colorado Rockies added SP Joe Gardner, SS Cristhian Adames and OF Tim Wheeler to the 40-man roster. OF Andrew Brown and INF Matt McBride were outrighted to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Colorado Rockies INF Matt McBride and P Josh Outman will both play winter ball this offseason in the Dominican Republic. McBride will play first base and Outman will attempt to build up his innings.

The Colorado Rockies will recall P Rob Scahill and INF Matt McBride from the minors Wednesday, Sept. 5. Scahill will be used in relief in one-innings stints to start. P Parker Frazier is another candidate to be recalled when the season ends at Class AA.

Colorado Rockies SP Guillermo Moscoso will be called up when rosters expand Saturday, Sept. 1, and he'll return to the bullpen. 1B Matt McBride and 3B Nolan Arenado are other candidates to be called up from the minors.

The Colorado Rockies activated OF Michael Cuddyer (oblique) from the disabled list Thursday, Aug. 16, and optioned 1B Matt McBride to the minors in a corresponding move.

Indians | Ubaldo Jimenez acquired for four players

The Cleveland Indians acquired Colorado Rockies SP Ubaldo Jimenez Saturday, July 30, for four players. The Indians send SP Alex White, 1B Matt McBride, SP Joe Gardner, and a player to be named, which is SP Drew Pomeranz. Pomeranz is a PTBN because he signed in mid-August, and cannot be officially named in a deal until Aug. 15, the one-year anniversary of his signing.

The Cleveland Indians are set to acquire SP Ubaldo Jimenez from the Colorado Rockies for SPs Drew Pomeranz, Alex White and 1B Matt McBride Saturday, July 30. Apparently there is a hang-up with the deal, as Pomeranz can't be dealt until his one-year anniversary of signing. He signed with the Indians in late August, so he might be a player to be named.
