Ralph Cindrich, agent for Pittsburgh Steelers LB James Farrior, said he believes the team may release Farrior in the near future. Cindrich said he has not had any talks with the Steelers about restructuring Farrior's contract. Farrior wants to continue his playing career if he is released.

The Pittsburgh Steelers may consider releasing DT Casey Hampton and LBs James Farrior and Larry Foote this offseason. Hampton is scheduled to make $4.89 million in 2012 with Farrior scheduled to make $2.82 million and Foote to make $3 million.
