|Red Sox | BOS in on Chris Davis? |
Sun, 29 Nov 2015 13:29:30 -0800
Fantasy Tip: This would make sense for Boston, as 1B David Ortiz is set to retire at the end of 2016. Davis would likely be among the top first basemen on draft boards thanks to the short porches and distance down the lines.

|Astros | HOU unlikely to pursue Chris Davis|
Fri, 27 Nov 2015 18:05:06 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Not only is Davis projected to sign a deal that would be out of the club's price range but the Astros already have several power-hitting first basemen and outfielders in their organization who strike out frequently. In 160 regular-season games last year, Davis hit .262 with a league-leading 47 home runs and 117 RBIs, along with 208 strikeouts in 573 at-bats. He should be selected in the early rounds of next season's fantasy drafts, although it should be noted that Camden Yards is a hitter-friendly park.

|Cardinals | Chris Davis perks Cardinals' interest|
Fri, 20 Nov 2015 10:12:28 -0800
Free-agent OF/1B Chris Davis (Orioles) has perked the interest of the St. Louis Cardinals, who have had discussions with his agent, Scott Boras, according to sources. The Cards are intrigued by Davis' ability to play first base, third base, right field and left field.
Fantasy Tip: Davis' power translates anywhere, but he could lose some luster leaving the hitter-friendly Camden Yards. He'll be a high-end outfielder to target in traditional drafts no matter where he signs.

|Orioles | Chris Davis, Wei-Yin Chen decline offers|
Fri, 13 Nov 2015 11:45:17 -0800
Baltimore Orioles impending free-agent 1B Chris Davis and SP Wei-Yin Chen both declined their one-year, $15.8 million qualifying offers from the team Friday, Nov. 13. Both players are expected to see big pay days on the open market. Chen is the least likely to re-sign with Baltimore.
Fantasy Tip: Davis is an elite power threat for fantasy owners and will continue to go off the board in the early rounds. But be careful for possible regression if he heads to a home park that isn't as friendly to the long ball. Chen is an underrated starting arm that certainly is a steal in the later rounds of fantasy drafts, and his departure from Baltimore could make him even more attractive.

|Orioles | Baltimore extends offers to three|
Fri, 06 Nov 2015 15:52:31 -0800
Baltimore Orioles impending free-agent 1B Chris Davis, C Matt Wieters and SP Wei-Yin Chen all received qualifying offers worth $15.8 million Friday, Nov. 6. Davis is expected to receive more money on the open market after leading the majors with 47 home runs and driving in 117 runs in 160 games.
Fantasy Tip: Davis will probably remain slightly overvalued in fantasy drafts next year because of power and RBI abilities, but he could lose luster if he departs for a more pitcher-friendly environment. Wieters is an injury risk but presents a nice buy-low opportunity as a catcher that has 20-home pop if healthy. Chen is more of a rotation candidate in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.

|Orioles | Baltimore not close with Chris Davis|
Sat, 17 Oct 2015 05:16:30 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Davis should be able to receive a lucrative contract this offseason since he was able to hit 47 home runs this season. Davis probably will never be one of the leaders in batting average but is one of the better options in terms of power numbers. Davis should be an option in all leagues next season and could be selected one of the early rounds.

|Orioles | BAL wants to retain Chris Davis|
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 00:20:14 -0700
Baltimore Orioles general manager Dan Duquette told MASN Sports the team wants to retain 1B Chris Davis, saying "It's no secret the club would like to have him to come back and we're going to do what we can."
Fantasy Tip: Davis is represented by Scott Boras, so it won't be easy, but with 47 home runs this season he will be very much in demand. He seemed to regain his hitting stroke after faltering a couple years back, so he will go in as a top first baseman in mixed leagues thanks to all that pop.

|Orioles | Chris Davis leads in home runs|
Mon, 05 Oct 2015 09:11:14 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Davis is a serious home run threat, hitting at least 47 homers in two of the last three years. He slugged only 26 bombs in 2014 after a career-high 53 in 2013. He'll remain a bit overvalued in fantasy circles because of his power, and as an impending free agent he may not be back in the hitter's paradise of Camden Yards next season.

|Mariners | Nelson Cruz on pace for homer lead|
Thu, 01 Oct 2015 00:54:48 -0700
Seattle Mariners OF Nelson Cruz hit his 44th homer of the season Wednesday, Sept. 30, in a 7-6 loss to the Houston Astros. Cruz is one home run behind Baltimore Orioles 1B Chris Davis for the overall lead.
Fantasy Tip: Cruz ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) is actually winding down a little following his monster season. He has a .111 average in the last seven days. The best thing to do is leave Cruz on the bench as that price tag is a little high considering his slump.
