Orioles | Chris Parmelee at 1B

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 14:43:49 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is starting at first base and hitting seventh against Atlanta Braves SP Julio Teheran Tuesday, July 28.

Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) hasn't done much with the stick this year, going 20-for-90 (.222) with four home runs and nine RBI. Consider him a weak value pick at FantasyScore.

Orioles | Chris Parmelee not playing Wednesday

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 13:28:08 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is not in the starting lineup against New York Yankees SP Ivan Nova Wednesday, July 22. 2B Ryan Flaherty will start at first base and is batting eighth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) probably will return to the starting lineup in the near future. Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has picked up only four hits in his last eight games and probably should not be an option on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Chris Davis staying in RF?

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 10:20:36 -0700

Baltimore Orioles 1B Chris Davis has made 14 starts in right field this season, and he figures to start there again when the second half of the season starts Friday, July 17, against the Detroit Tigers. OFs Chris Parmelee and Steve Pearce have been playing first base. Davis isn't a stranger to the position, as he played 30 games in right field in 2012.

Fantasy Tip: The main reason for moving Davis ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) was done to keep both Parmelee and Jimmy Paredes in the lineup. Davis' owners can't complain, as he has added another position for eligibility, and in some leagues he's also eligible at third base. Davis remains an excellent source of power in all fantasy formats, but he won't do you any favors in batting average thanks to a poor contact rate.

Orioles | Chris Parmelee batting sixth vs. Nats

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 08:00:10 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is playing first base and batting sixth against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer Sunday, July 12.

Fantasy Tip: Typically, Parmelee ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) would be a nice low-priced option hitting in a prime RBI spot of the lineup. However, the matchup against Scherzer is daunting, and FantasyScore players should look at other first base options Sunday.

Orioles | Chris Parmelee sitting Friday

Fri, 10 Jul 2015 12:11:11 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is not in the starting lineup against the Washington Nationals Friday, July 10.

Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) started hot, but he has fizzled to the tune of a .097/.125/.226 slash line over his past 32 plate appearances. And with Baltimore fully healthy, Parmelee could be the odd man out more frequently going forward. At this point, he is nothing more than a low-end bat in AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

Orioles | Chris Parmelee not in the lineup

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 10:05:14 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon Sunday, July 5. OF Steve Pearce will start at first base and is batting fifth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) likely is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has gone hitless in 10 at-bats this month and could be passed over by owners on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Travis Snider hitting second

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 13:39:20 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is starting in left field and hitting second against Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber Friday, June 26. OF Chris Parmelee was dropped to fifth in the order.

Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) sees his FantasyScore value take a slight boost while hitting second, but he's not all that attractive while facing last year's AL Cy Young in Kluber. Parmelee ($2,900) is an even weaker option for daily gamers tonight.

Orioles | Delmon Young continues to sit

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 12:53:10 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Delmon Young is out of the lineup again in favor of OF Chris Parmelee against Boston Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz Wednesday, June 24. Young has started just once in the team's last six games, and it was against a left-handed pitcher.

Fantasy Tip: Young ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) looks like he has returned to the weak side of platoon duty in the outfield, with Parmelee ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) stealing most of the playing time. Young should only be owned in very deep mixed and AL-only leagues. Parmelee homered three times in his first two games with the Orioles last week, but he has just three hits since. Consider him a dice roll as a deep sleeper on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Chris Parmelee continues to rake

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 20:33:03 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee went 2-for-4 with a double and triple Tuesday, June 23, against the Boston Red Sox to raise his average .348.

Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($2,900; or 5.8% of cap) has posted five extra-base hits with four RBIs and five runs scored in seven games with the Orioles so far. At these FantasyScore prices he is a decent low-risk option with some upside.

Orioles | Chris Parmelee hitting third

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 13:24:39 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is hitting third Tuesday, June 23, against Boston Red Sox SP Joe Kelly.

Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has hit third when Adam Jones (shoulder) is out of the lineup and hasn't disappointed. He's 6-for-19 (.316) with three homers and four RBI since his callup. He has a great matchup and is an awesome OF3 option on FantasyScore today.
