Tue, 15 May 2012 09:39:40 -0700 The Minnesota Twins are likely to activate 1B Justin Morneau (wrist) from the disabled list Wednesday, May 16, after he took live batting practice for the second straight day, ran sprints and took groundballs Tuesday, May 15. "He looked really good and has talked to the trainers about being activated," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "The trainers haven't told me yet, but I have to go out and see and talk to him. But that's the plan unless it changes drastically." 1B Chris Parmelee could be sent down depending on how much the team anticipates Morneau playing at first base.

They're not really giving in to him much. He's not getting too many pitches to hit right now," manager Ron Gardenhire said. Parmelee has minor league options remaining, but Plouffe does not.
