Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw wins in Game 4

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 21:43:39 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw allowed one earned run, three hits and a walk with eight strikeouts over seven innings in a win in Game 4 of the National League Division Series Tuesday, Oct. 13, against the New York Mets. He was working on short rest, too.

Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) has struggled in the postseason in the past, but he is 1-1 with a 2.63 ERA with 19 strikeouts over 13 2/3 innings in two playoff starts this season. He is a must-start in FantasyScore, and you needn't worry about his struggles in the playoffs from the past.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw starting Game 4

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 14:21:55 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw will start Game 4 of the National League Division Series against the New York Mets Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Fantasy Tip: While the playoffs haven't been overly kind to Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap), he remains a high-end FantasyScore option and worthy of a long look for contests Tuesday. For his career, Kershaw owns a 4.99 ERA with a 1-6 record through his 12 playoff games.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw loses again

Sat, 10 Oct 2015 05:05:36 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw allowed three runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings against the New York Mets in Game 1 of the National League Division Series Friday, Oct. 9. He struck out 11 batters and walked four in the game. Kershaw has lost each of his last five postseason starts.

Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) has been an outstanding regular season pitcher but has recently struggled during the postseason. He did not have a bad performance in Game 1 but struggled with some walks. Kershaw probably will start against the Mets again in the series if the Dodgers are not swept and could still be a starting option on FantasyScore.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw dominant at home

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 14:26:41 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw went 11-3 with a 1.67 ERA, a 0.82 WHIP and a 12.4 K/9 while allowing just a .489 OPS to opposing hitters over his 17 starts at Dodger Stadium this season.

Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) has also been absolutely filthy in the second half with a 10-1 record, a 1.31 ERA, and he held opposing bats to a .422 OPS through his 15 starts since the All-Star break. View the lefty as a slam-dunk FantasyScore play Friday.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw unlikely to go on short rest

Wed, 07 Oct 2015 09:23:40 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw is unlikely to pitch on short rest if necessary in Game 4 of the division series against the New York Mets under the new front office led by president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman. The Dodgers haven't committed to a Game 4 starter but would decide between Kershaw on short rest or SP Alex Wood.

Fantasy Tip: Wood ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) becomes an extremely risky FantasyScore pick as a sleeper for your second pitching spot since it's still up in the air that he'll be included in the division series rotation. Pay up for Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) as your ace and take your chances.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw has struggled in playoffs

Wed, 07 Oct 2015 09:15:43 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw has a 5.12 ERA in 11 career playoff outings and was the losing pitcher in each of the Dodgers' last two season-ending losses in the postseason. On the flip side, Kershaw had been the major-league ERA leader for four straight seasons before this year and led the league with 301 strikeouts in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: You should ignore Kershaw's ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) past failures in the playoffs. This is a new year and he remains one of the best pitchers on the planet, if not the best. Pay up for him as your top pitcher in the divisional round and go from there.

Dodgers | NLDS rotation for Dodgers

Tue, 06 Oct 2015 16:43:25 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw will start Game 1 of the division series against the New York Mets Friday, Oct. 9, followed by SP Zack Greinke Saturday, Oct. 10, and SP Brett Anderson Monday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard to argue against Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) or Greinke ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) as one of your FantasyScore aces in the divisional round, but they're all the top two most expensive playoff pitchers. Anderson ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) is a sleeper as a second starter.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw expected for Game 1

Mon, 05 Oct 2015 09:15:28 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw is expected to start in Game 1 of the Division Series against the New York Mets this week. He finished with 300 strikeouts this year and also led the majors in innings with 232 2/3. Kershaw finished the regular season with a 2.13 ERA, making him the fourth different pitcher to record at least 300 strikeouts with fewer than 250 innings pitched.

Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($9,900, 19.8% of cap) will be the most expensive starter on FantasyScore in the divisional round, but he's worth paying up for to kick things off in the postseason.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw records 300 K's

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 14:35:45 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw struck out his 300th batter Sunday, Oct. 4, becoming the first pitcher to record 300 strikeouts in a season since 2002.

Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($9,900, 19.8% of cap) is, without a doubt, the top pitcher in baseball and will be gone with the first pick in most drafts next March.

Dodgers | Clayton Kershaw to make short start

Wed, 30 Sep 2015 17:21:42 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw's next scheduled start will be shorter than usual, while SP Zack Greinke's next start will be a normal outing. Greinke will start against the San Diego Padres Saturday, Oct. 3, with Kershaw pitching the following day.

Fantasy Tip: Although it is unknown how many pitches Kershaw ($9,900, 19.8% of cap) will be limited to throwing Sunday, FantasyScore owners should avoid using him. However, they should have no reservations about using Greinke ($9,800, 19.6% of cap) Saturday.
