Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw won his second consecutive National League Pitcher of the Month award for July. In five July starts he went 4-0 with a 1.07 ERA, allowing just five earned runs over 42 innings. He struck out 43 batters and walked just four, and opponents managed a measly .165 batting average against him. He is the first Dodgers pitcher to win the award in back-to-back months since Don Sutton accomplished the feat in 1975.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw gave up nine hits and struck out nine and tied his career-best winning streak of 10 games by beating the Atlanta Braves 2-1 Thursday, July 31. Kershaw also tossed his second straight complete game for the second time in his career. It was his fifth complete game of the year. Kershaw hasn't lost in his last 11 starts and is 10-0 since June 2.

Fantasy Tip: There's not much to say here. Kershaw is hands down the best pitcher in baseball right now.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw hit St. Louis Cardinals OF Matt Holliday with a 95-mph fastball Sunday, July 20, after St. Louis Cardinals SP Carlos Martinez hit Los Angeles Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez with a 99 mph fastball earlier in the game. Warnings were issued, and Kershaw remained in the game.

Los Angeles Dodgers SPs Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw, Cincinnati Reds SP Johnny Cueto and RP Aroldis Chapman, St. Louis Cardinals SP Adam Wainwright and RP Pat Neshek, Atlanta Braves SP Julio Teheran and RP Craig Kimbrel, San Francisco Giants SP Madison Bumgarner, Milwaukee Brewers RP Francisco Rodriguez, San Diego Padres SP Tyson Ross, Pittsburgh Pirates RP Tony Watson and Washington Nationals SP Jordan Zimmermann have been named as the pitchers for the National League in the 2014 All-Star Game. Oakland Athletics SP Jeff Samardzija was named to the team as a representative of the Chicago Cubs, but he was traded this weekend. Samardzija will be inactive for the game.
