Toronto Blue Jays OF Ben Francisco is serving as the designated hitter Thursday, May 17, and C Yan Gomes could split time with him there with 3B Edwin Encarnacion mostly playing at first base. OF Travis Snider, currently at Class AAA, has just one hit in his last 18 at-bats after returning from an injury.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Travis Snider (wrist) remains day to day with a jammed right wrist at Triple-A Las Vegas. He was eligible to come off the seven-day DL over the weekend, but he deemed he wasn't ready after taking batting practice.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Travis Snider (wrist) has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with Triple-A Las Vegas as a precautionary move. "He felt some soreness in his right wrist, so it delayed the initiation of baseball activities," manager John Farrell said. "It's more managing the symptoms. Nothing has changed as far as the initial evaluation. One, we needed the roster spot in Triple-A, and then, two, we didn't want to rush this." Snider was hitting .400 with four home runs, 23 RBIs and a 1.170 OPS in 19 games.

Toronto Blue Jays minor league OF Travis Snider (wrist), currently playing for Triple-A Las Vegas, underwent an MRI exam Friday, April 27, after he jammed his right wrist while making a diving catch during the previous day's game.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Travis Snider (wrist) was removed from a game Thursday, April 26, with Triple-A Las Vegas after suffering a jammed right wrist diving for a ball. Snider will be re-evaluated Friday, April 27.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Travis Snider (finger) jammed his middle finger while sliding back to first base during a pickoff attempt and was held out of the lineup with Triple-A Las Vegas late last week. An MRI exam and X-rays came back negative.
