Toronto Blue Jays SP Kyle Drabek (elbow) is scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews Monday, June 18, to receive a second opinion on his injured elbow. An MRI on Drabek's elbow revealed a tear in his ligament and he is meeting with Andrews to confirm the tear. Drabek may need to undergo Tommy John surgery if he does have a torn ligament.

Updating previous reports, Toronto Blue Jays SP Kyle Drabek (elbow) said the pain he felt Wednesday, June 13, is in a different area of his elbow than when he had Tommy John surgery. He was encouraged by the strength he had after leaving the game. "We did all the tests for it and I was strong, so that was some good news. I'm not too concerned," he said. Drabek is unsure if he'll have to miss a start, but he's not too concerned.

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays SP Kyle Drabek (elbow) said he is not sure if he will be able to make his next scheduled start after leaving his start Wednesday, June 13, with an elbow injury. He said the injury does not feel the same as it did when he needed Tommy John surgery. He was encouraged about the strength he had in the arm after the game.
