ESPN.com reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil was furious after WR Dameane Douglas (leg) suffered what appears to be a severe lower leg injury when Minnesota Vikings CB Rushen Jones hit him during practice. Vermeil let loose with his words, hollering at a Minnesota trainer that the Vikings should take a shotgun and "shoot (Jones) in the head." According to the report, several neutral observers didn't think Jones' play was malicious, simply aggressive.

According to the Associated Press, Kansas City Chiefs WR Dameane Douglas (knee) was injured in a joint practice against the Minnesota Vikings, after Vikings CB Rushen Jones threw Douglas to the ground while tackling him. The severity of the injury is not yet known.

According to John Clayton of ESPN the only Philadelphia Eagles player to miss practice today was backup WR Dameane Douglas, who has a quad injury. Reserve S Terrence Carroll sprained his left knee toward the end of practice and had to go for tests. Rookie RB Correll Buckhalter returned to practice today. He's had a sprained AC joint and is listed as questionable.

Brown has dropped easy passes in each of the team's last two games and is not being as productive as the team would like. WR Dameane Douglas or rookie Freddie Mitchell could be given an opportunity to move up the charts if Brown continues to struggle.

Reportedly the Cleveland Browns are willing to deal Johnson, for a third-round draft pick. The Saints brass remains concerned over injured WRs Albert Connell and Joe Horn. Haslett said if the Saints are going to succeed this season, Horn, Albert Connell, Willie Jackson and Robert Wilson have to stay healthy and contribute consistently.

Thrash, at the age of 26, is the oldest of the Eagles young group of receivers. WRs Freddie Mitchell, Gari Scott, Na Brown, Dameane Douglas, Elijah Thurmon and some undrafted rookie signees are also expected to see action on the field this weekend.
