ESPN.com reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil was furious after WR Dameane Douglas (leg) suffered what appears to be a severe lower leg injury when Minnesota Vikings CB Rushen Jones hit him during practice. Vermeil let loose with his words, hollering at a Minnesota trainer that the Vikings should take a shotgun and "shoot (Jones) in the head." According to the report, several neutral observers didn't think Jones' play was malicious, simply aggressive.

According to the Associated Press, Kansas City Chiefs WR Dameane Douglas (knee) was injured in a joint practice against the Minnesota Vikings, after Vikings CB Rushen Jones threw Douglas to the ground while tackling him. The severity of the injury is not yet known.

Reserve S Terrence Carroll sprained his left knee toward the end of practice and had to go for tests. Rookie RB Correll Buckhalter returned to practice today. He's had a sprained AC joint and is listed as questionable.

Brown has dropped easy passes in each of the team's last two games and is not being as productive as the team would like.
