Cincinnati Reds SP Johnny Cueto allowed just three hits and a walk in a complete game shutout Sunday, July 31, against the San Francisco Giants. He also struck out six batters in the 111-pitch quality start. "(Manager Dusty Baker) asked me for a complete game this morning. I said, 'I will,'" said Cueto. It was his first shutout since May 11, 2010. He needed 7 1/3 innings to qualify for the National League ERA lead, which now sits at a sparkling 1.72.
