Sid Hartman, of the Star Tribune, reports the Washington Redskins are showing an interest in former Minnesota basketball player OL/TE Zach Puchtel. He has already tried out for the Chicago Bears, but was not signed.

Bears | Team to give Puchtel a tryout

Jeff Shelman, of the Star Tribune, reports the Chicago Bears are trying to be the latest team to find a player off the basketball court. The Bears will give former Minnesota basketball player Zach Puchtel a tryout this weekend. He hasn't put on football pads since his freshman season at Harvard.
