Chargers | No love for the WRs in Week 15

San Diego Chargers WR Malcom Floyd had two grabs for a team-high 39 yards in the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers. The only other wide receiver to get onto the stat sheet was WR Micheal Spurlock, who had one catch for eight yards. The Chargers had 16 completions, with the wideouts posting three grabs, running backs accounting for eight catches and tight ends making up the remaining five catches.

Chargers | Eddie Royal unlikely to play

San Diego Chargers WR Eddie Royal (hamstring) ran sideline routes and made some catches Thursday, Dec. 13, but he's not expected to suit up in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. He's more likely to return in Week 16 against the New York Jets, giving WR Micheal Spurlock another week of action. Spurlock caught all seven of his targets for 64 yards in Week 14.

Jacksonville Jaguars DL George Selvie (knee) made his season debut in Week 7 against the Oakland Raiders, and he played in the line rotation. WR Micheal Spurlock and SS Chris Harris also made their team debuts. Spurlock had a 28-yard punt return, and 22-yard kickoff return, while Harris played on special teams.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said he would like to see more productive punt returns which is why WR Micheal Spurlock and CB Aaron Ross are options for the job. WR Mike Thomas has been the punt returner but has only averaged seven yards per return.
