Paul Tenorio, of The Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins OG Kili Lefotu was arraigned Tuesday, Oct. 16, on charges of assault and battery and destruction of public property at the Loudoun County General District Court. Lefotu was arrested Sept. 12 at Nick's Corner Grill. He could face up to 12 months in jail and a maximum fine of $2,500 for the assault and battery charge. He could be incarcerated for one to five years and face a maximum fine of $2,500 for the destruction of public property charge. A preliminary hearing has been set for Dec. 11.

The Washington Post reports Washington Redskins rookie OL Kili Lefotu was back at practice Tuesday, Aug. 15, six days after losing consciousness for unknown reasons, an episode that left him fearful for his life, he said. Lefotu said he was cleared to play in Saturday's preseason game, Aug. 19, against the New York Jets at FedEx Field, and still is awaiting results from several medical tests. Lefotu said he began to feel better Friday, Aug. 11, when he was becoming more alert with his mother by his side at the hospital.

Melinda Waldrop, of the Daily Press, reports Washington Redskins rookie OL Kili Lefotu was released from the hospital Friday morning, Aug. 11, two days after losing consciousness in his dorm room. Redskins director of sports medicine Bubba Tyer said doctors think Lefotu may have had a seizure, but tests were inconclusive. "We would like to have a definite answer this was the problem and we're gonna take care of it," Tyer said. "(But) he's doing better. He's just a little weak from his two days in the hospital. He really hasn't eaten much."

Tyer added, "He feels good. He's talking. He called me by my name and has a good memory. He couldn't remember exactly what happened in the episode."

He is being evaluated by doctors to determine what caused him to lose consciousness Wednesday, Aug. 9. The team hopes he will be released from the hospital Friday, Aug. 11, pending the outcome of tests.

The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins rookie OL Kili Lefotu was found unconscious in his room and was undergoing tests at a hospital Wednesday evening, Aug. 9. Coaches became concerned when Lefotu failed to show up for the team's 7 p.m. practice. Head coach Joe Gibbs said Lefotu appeared to be doing better, but doctors had yet to diagnose what happened. Lefotu was to remain at Loudoun County Hospital overnight for more tests. Gibbs also said Lefotu had attended the afternoon meetings and showed no signs of illness.
