Jets | Hartigan knows he faces a tough road to make the team

Mike Szostak, of the Providence Journal, reports New York Jets RB Nick Hartigan knows he faces a long road to make the team's final roster. He went through voluntary and mandatory minicamps with the Jets last week and still is working out with other Jets rookies at the club's training facility at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. NFL talent scouts looked at Hartigan as a fullback, not a tailback, because he doesn't have the blinding speed the pros cherish. Because of that fact he was not drafted in April. The rookies get a two-week break starting July 7. Hartigan will have to prove every day in training camp that he belongs. He knows it won't be easy.
