The New York Jets are trying to build position versatility along the offensive line, so a handful of players lined up at different positions Wednesday, June 12, at minicamp. OGs Willie Colon and Stephen Peterman swapped sides, with Colon working at right guard, and Peterman at left guard. OTs Vladimir Ducasse and Oday Aboushi also shifted sides, with Ducasse playing at left tackle, and Aboushi at right tackle.

New York Jets OG Willie Colon said he will be playing only guard for the team in 2013. Colon switched from tackle to guard last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. "I like guard. Week 13 was the first time in Pittsburgh Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall's career that he was a healthy scratch after being demoted to No. 3 on the running back depth chart earlier in the week. The Steelers made the move likely because they wanted eight offensive linemen active instead of seven. OT Willie Colon (knee) was active but did not start at left guard. OG David DeCastro was active for the first time this year but didn't start, either.

Pittsburgh still remains $10 million over the cap, however. QB Ben Roethlisberger and LB James Harrison are both open to restructuring their contracts, too.
