The Detroit Lions signed free-agent PK David Akers (49ers) to an undisclosed deal Friday, April 5.

Fantasy Tip: Akers was a disappointment last year after an incredible 2011 season for the Niners. A groin injury led to most of his late-season problems last year. Moving to a dome and a potent offense should help him rebound to a No. 1 fantasy placekicker, however.
